Junker's First Show

Stephen's band had their first show as a full band last Wednesday. It went well, and they've been booked to play at the same place again this Friday. It's at Terrapin Beer Brewery (www.terrapinbeer.com), and they have tours at night with live music and "beer tasting" at the end. People bring their dogs, kids, and beach balls, so it's really laid-back and fun. They're expecting about 500 people on Friday, so that will be exciting...



We'd planned to have Stephen's parents watch Bella so that I could go, but a couple of days before the show we found out that it was a family-friendly outdoor event, and that the other band members were bringing their two-year-olds. So we decided to all go to the show together, rather than subject Stephen's parents to Bella's fussiest time of day. (They did get to babysit her while I went to a doctor's appointment, though, and luckily she slept the whole time.) Bella had a great time at the show-- she loves music and she loves being outdoors, and she enjoyed seeing the other kids there. And it was neat for Stephen's parents, who bought Stephen his first instruments and gave him music lessons as a kid, to see their son play on stage.
